Default Finally figured it out! Sewing curves

One of my favourite blocks is the New York quilt. I have wanted to do it for a while but was very intimidated by the curves Today I bit the bullet and I am very pleased with my success it's all scrap fabric but at least now I know I can do it!!

Now I'm going to spend time looking for the perfect fabrics to make one

Good for you! I've always admired those quilts but don't have the courage to try.

Hi Marion, Your piecing is great and you are an inspiration for trying and not giving up. I for one am looking forward to seeing your finished New York Beauty. I have it on my list also.

I know so many people who just give up at he slightest mis-step and never try a second time or third or forth, until they have a chance at learning the piecing, they just give up. Keep inspiring us!
peace

I love NYB's and have made several. Yes, the hardest part is the curved bits. You did a good job and chose excellent fabrics for the job.
