This evening I finally finished binding my 50 State Birds machine embroidered quilt. This one came out big, I had no idea how big( 76X98) untill I had the blocks sewn together. I have wanted to make this one for several years and just recently found the digital embroidery designs for a reasonable price at Oregon Patchworks online (love their designs).

What a project to take on. All that embroidery work as well as quilting. Lovely. Have one like that to work on myself and can't quite bring myself to work on the embroidery at the moment. Finally finished is a great end!

The machine embroidery took about a week, doing some each day. The assembly, quilting on my Tin Lizzie and binding took another week, a bit at a time. Most of my quilts are easy and fast so this seemed to take a long time.
