Wonderful quilt! Isn't it a great feeling to produce a beautiful quilt you have made personally?

Gorgeous fall colors. My friend, Donna, is going to go so nuts when she sees it.

"I can now call myself a quilter and I feel like I'm starting to know what I'm doing =)"

Your quilt is beautiful. If it turns out you really do know what you're doing then you are amazing. I've been quilting 10 years now and still flounder all the time! But it wouldn't be hard to be smarter than me!

Your actual quilting lines are really nice. I find them restful and very enhancing for the entire quilt. I'm one of those people who gets a little tired of the very elaborate quilting stitches; I love the piecing of most quilts, the colors, the movement and feel too much over-stitching takes away from that. Obviously I do my own quilting. You have made a wonderful start and you know how it feels to have made all of your quilt. We quilters are of two branches, both with great strong points. Welcome to our world. When you quilted did you roll the quilt on a cardboard roller or fold it with clothes pins so you could concentrate on the part you were actually quilting? That, and starting in the middle and working outward helps me, speeds up the process.
