Default Oak Leaf Quilt My Grandmothers Published Pattern

Here are picture of one of the versions of my grandmothers oak leaf quilt she had published in the 90's in a quilting magazine. This is the same quilt shown in my avatar and was used as the backgrop behind the head table at my wedding. I have all her original templates and sketches of this quilt and have collected many of the Kansas Trouble fabrics to make my own version of this quilt. There are many places in this quilt where its tattered (sorry spelling) and worn through but its still a stunning quilt to look at and study up close. I just hope she will be looking down and helping me while I make my own tribute quilt to her. Thanks for looking!!

That's a beauty for sure. Best wishes while you make one of your own. It is really a great feeling using tools and templates your grandmother used. I am in the process of making a quilt using my grandma and great aunt's old cardboard templates.

OOOhh, this is beautiful! I am a HUGE KT fabrics person too so I can't wait to see what your version of this pattern will look like.
