actually, the fabrics are all the same width and length. i pleated the tops, and made them wide enough so that they would gather and scrunch on the rod.. (last minute decision... idea just popped in my head and i love the effect). i backed them with a sheet from walmart, and they are luxuriously heavy and sun blocking. if i were to buy them, i wouldn't mind paying $60 and upwards. :) Thanks for all of your comments.

i had planned on making tiebacks, but by experimenting, i found that i liked the line up of proportions when pushed all the way open to the sides. i was afraid the i would lose the whole effect by interrupting the flow of prints. :)

Great look for a sewing room! I used to have just toppers-took those down after 10 years to have just mini blinds. Now the color in my sewing room comes from scraps and fabrics lying around everywhere :)

They are really cool! and you know my most favorite thing about walking into a quilt store is the rainbow effect. =)
