Default Finished the baby quilt I had asked for help on... What do you think?

Well, first I asked for opinions on how to quilt this little quilt. (I did the last one in all-over stipple and wanted something more...) You gave good suggestions but somehow "feathers" kept speaking to me. So I tried to practice some feathers... asked for help again!

After some more practicing and watching a bunch more videos I took the plunge on my quilt. The thing that helped me the most was the advice to think "half a heart". That's the trick! So here is the result. Still a lot of awkwardness, but overall I think the feathers are charming. Still need more practice...

Because I wasn't confident in my feathering, I used white thread on white background. Hope you can see them. I hope to get good enough to do feathers in a contrasting color, so they show up!

I like it! I have been afraid to try feathers on an actual quilt, but I like the half a heart tip. Maybe a little more practice and I will dig in. Thanks for showing us.

You did an excellent job and how brave of you to even try the feathers...but so, so glad you did as it turned out beautifully. I think you are ready to use the color thread on your next project that calls for feathers, don't you?

I think this looks fantastic. You are more than welcome to feather on any of my quilts!

Great job! I haven't had the nerve to try feathers so I give you a lot of credit and a big "JOB WELL DONE".
