Your blocks are turning out so pretty. Thank you for sharing the newer ones, too. Keep up the good work & be careful with those sore fingers.

Wow, those are looking great! Sometimes when I can't use a thimble (which is almost all the time) I apply some of that liquid bandaid stuff to my fingers- it helps some, then I can just peel it off when I'm through sewing. Hope your ifngers feel better soon..so you can make them sore again!

Julie your work is stunning, I love the batiks against the black, it certainly is going to be an awesome piece when it's finished :D

Have you tried the Ultra Thimble? I happened across it and LOVE it, it is a small steel thimble disc, that sticks to you finger wherever you prefer it to sit, I tend to use the side of my middle finger, and can position it just so, which still leaves me good 'feel' as your finger isn't enclosed. I often forget that I have it on and wonder what the tap tap tap on the laptop keyboard is tee hee!! The stickly pads are reusable lots of times, just don't have any handcream residue on your skin as this stops a good bond!!

Here's a good close up picture

Well worth a try :D

Have you tried Mole Skin Plus? I use it because it is very flexible and allows me to still use my fingers without removing it. I can even type with it on. Just cut a small piece to fit your fingertip and stick it on. The needle rarely goes through. You can find it in the foot notions section of any WalMart.
