Default Finished this comfort quilt last night

For the wife of a friend of my DH starting chemo tomorrow for lung cancer. I am calling this quilt Birds In Blue.
The back is a cloud filled blue sky fleece. I used a pattern shared with us in tutorials recently by Jeanne S. I did change it just a little and used fussy cut birds as center squares in each block.
Quilting is 1/4" outline outside the center squares and inside each block.

Photo bomber is our new adopted kitty. She is 5 yrs old and her name is Lil' Girl. She clearly is NOT a little girl, lol, and my DH said he feels silly calling her that, so he calls her Tailcat. Our other cat has no tail. No reason to feel silly calling such a lady tailcat at all. LOL

Sweet and calming colors . How kind of you to make it. I have no doubt she'll love it. I got the giggles reading about Lil Girl who's not, and Tailcat vs the no tail cat. Your hubby calls 'em like he sees 'em!

It looks really pretty and you have done a great job with arranging the fabrics.
