Hi everyone. I've posted a few pictures on various threads... thought I might could post them here too.

Highlights are explained below - should it help anyone/spark ideas... :

The Basics: The room is about 8.5' x 10'. The door and a small, half height closet are on one wall (yes, the closet louvered doors are full height, the the bottom half of closet was partitioned off for the air handler!). Closet holds finished costumes/clothing, one stack of crafting bins, and some small shelves that I put my sewing books, supplies, cards on.
There are two windows. Both are 60" wide.

The Corner Cabinet (with the dolls) and the drawer cabinet next to it (holds the FQs) were from Lowes - they are 19" deep special order from the closet section.

The large square chest in the corner IS a metal McCall's pattern chest that I bought from a fabric store that went out of biz. A PRIZE, I must say!!! Stores patterns, quilt patterns, and other crafting supplies!

My only sewing cabinet, is a 36" high Horn #5580 - it's 20"d x 60w closed and 40" x 60" opened. I keep it opened and iron, sew, cut and craft on the whole surface. My Janome 4000 sits 'in the deck' (until I get an embroidery/sew machine!). Rulers I use a lot are hanging on the side, sewing notions in drawers. Plastic cars and a printer cart are tucked under the 'wings' holding scraps (cut to sizes), more sewing notions and WIPs.

There are three 24"wide x 70" tall pantries which hold my fabrics and kits. Far left is all quilting material sorted by color, middle pantry is muslins, Christmas, home dec. Far right is all dress making and doll dress making fabrics. Fleece rolled/stored on top with bins of lace, dress ribbon and more remnants for doll dresses.

The 1923 Singer and cabinet are under my Evolve 8 thread serger against the wall and to the right of my sewing station. I can quickly convert from sergeing... to ironing on the mat underneath, to opening/sewing on the Singer. GREAT for leather, boat canvas. Will sew anything.

Rulers: some hang from the cabinets, the little ones are in a pretty pressboard letter holder from an office store.

Quilt books in small 2 shelf bookcase next to door.

I put white shelves with pretty brackets over the door, and both windows. On top are flamenco dolls, yarns, antique sew baskets and stuffed animals.

Rack for hanging freshly pressed materials for projects is slung over one side of the closet doors.

And yes, the room is painted a fresh lilac color, which will fade over time to a neutral gray. The main colors in the room are lilac, spring green and hot pink.

I love your sewing room! You sure managed to get a lot into the space. Sounds more like the space I would be using IF I could talk hubs into doing away with the guest bedroom. NO chance!!

Yes, it's a little cluttered for my taste, but I have no other place to put my creative hobbies. We have special needs and rescue cats (7!) in the rest of the house! This and the office are the only two rooms they are not allowed in. Although, every now and then, if it's a nice day... and I'm working on a project... I'll leave the door open for them. They like to sit in the windows!

    Thanks!
