WOW - nice quilt - looks HUGE - maybe that is why she charged extra?

Great quilt! I am sorry you had to deal with that LQS, but just remember that not all of them are that pathetic! I use Engine House quilts in Berne, IN and she is awesome! She is always very helpful and gives me little tips and hints. Hopefully your next experience with a LA quilter is better.

Sorry about the step ladders but had to use them to try to get all of quilt. This pattern started out as a Bird of Paradise pattern, but I made changes in order to use the deer panel I purchased off the board. The sides are flying geese made to look like trees.
Thanks everyone so much . I wont have to pay for quilting once I learn how to use my new Hinterberg quilt frame and Juki sewing machine my dh bought me. They were used and he drove from East Indianapolis to Grand Rapids Michigan to get them for me. Now if we could just get moved so I can set them up and play.

This is your first real quilt? Wow! It was made with so much love for the newly weds. It is awesome.

So sorry to learn of the difficulty with getting it quilted.
All's well that ends well and the quilt is just awesome. I know they will treasure it forever.
Don't forget to get a photo of you with the quilt. That will be a treasure for them in the future also.
