Sooo glad that I am not the only one saving fabric for just the right project! Your comments are my thoughts exactly, but since you took that leap of faith I now know that there is still hope for me! LOL I love the pattern, also. I actually have that one because my son chose it for a bed quilt he would like to have some day.

I love your colors, and the black background was the right choice...provides a very nice contrast in the fabrics! Congrats on your quilt...it is beautiful! Thanks for the motivation!

Your fabrics and this pattern combined to make one very sharp quilt!!! It's a treat to see this pattern done in fabrics that are completely different from the original look. And yes, the black seems to have been the right choice
