Hi, Hudgoddess. I cut out circles from paper, being sure to mark the centre. I then pinned them to the quilt, one at a time using the smallest one first. When I got to the fairly large circles, I only cut quarter circles and moved them when I completed the quilting around the first quarter.

Hi, Trapunta, The quilt is actually a combination of storm at sea and ocean waves. The original pattern was designed by Holly Daniels, but 16" blocks were too big for my purpose so I scaled them down to 12".
