There is a story with this quilt. 18 yrs. ago i taught my friend to sew for her 4 kids, i gave her lots of scrapes from some of my projects. little did i know she kept the scrapes. 2 1/2 yrs. ago she started hand piecing gramma's flower garden hexogons. she called about 3 weeks ago and said she was done piecing and wanted to know what to do now. she has never quilted . so i packed my machine and left calif. and drove to las vegas (3 1/2 hrs. away) to start quilting. to my surprise some of the fabrics i remember from my daughters dresses. this is a picture of her and her 1st quilt, all she has left to do is hand sew binding. i'm so proud of her. she's hooked she called and said she was starting another quilt. she's an amazing friend now raising her 3 young grandchildren.

Wow .... Great story, Joeyoz!
That is so neat that you were able to drive over on such short notice. She did a great job on it.
