OMG that's beautiful. So much work had to be done! That definitely is not fort-worthy!

What a wonderful "Ocean Waves" quilt - that is quite an accomplishment - I hope it doesn't take two years but it looks like its worth it.

Beautiful quilt, and what an accomplishment!

Do you mind if I ask why you decided to hand piece it? Was it for increased accuracy, or because you just enjoy hand piecing, or maybe for the experience or the challenge? I've thought about hand piecing a quilt sometime, just to see how it's done, but to undertake something so large and challenging just boggles the mind. Congratulations for a job well done.

Beautiful quilt!!! and the fabric colors just make it pop and look three dimensional.
Very well done.

That is beautiful and looks like a lot of work, can see why they won't use it for a fort.

I do hand piecing because of all those things! I like the challenge, I like to have something to do while I'm watching tv, I like to be kind of "old-timey", and, although I didn't know it when I started, I can't do triangles by machine. I just cannot figure it out! I usually have a hand project (ot two) and a machine project (or two) going on simultaneously. This quilt really was not difficult - just time consuming and repetitive - but I knew it would be so cool when I finished. Now I feel like I've really accomplished something!

I wouldn't even start something with that many triangles. My hat is off to you, my dear!!! It's gorgeous!
