I just made my first raggedy quilt and got the rag quilt snips at Joann's for half-price. I could not have clipped using regular scissors. The snips are wonderful since they have a spring action. $10.00 is a "cheap" price to pay for comfort in cutting.

Barnbum, Recently I talked with a not so LQS owner who suggested that when making raggedy quilts cut the material on the diagnal, being very careful sewing together, but elimated having to do more cutting later. Just a thought! Haven't tried it yet tho.

WONDERFUL QUILTS!!! Yours are gorgeous!! I am in the middle of my first ragged flannel quilt. It is the Christmas tree one. Got very sick so it will not be finished in time for Christmas but I will finish it anyway. My avitar is my first quilt ever. But I am not discouraged.

Like to do the rag but it is a pain to cut to make them ragged
