I use the flange binding on all of my quilts now. It is all machine sewed, and I think it even adds a design detail. I have also heard it called magic binding. It took me a couple of quilts to really get comfortable with it, but now I wonder why I ever did bindings any other way.
i might need to look into that technique. Might be the answer I'm looking for.

Both area fantastic. I also did the Carol Doaks 50 stars when one of the gals on the QB did a block of the week sew-along. I only made 25 to make a lap. But I love the way you set them, all tucked in together. Looks great. Love the colors on the Jenny Beyer.

Those are two beautiful quilts! I know how you feel about the binding, but I've done one all on the machine, never again. It made a nice quilt look sloppy. I'll just suffer through the arthritic pain and take lots of time outs.
