I finished this quilt last night and it was taken to the Birthday Boy today by his father. It is larger than a king size sheet and very heavy. I did not use batting due to the weight. The sashing was done to "quilt" the quilt. Stitched on both edges. I am so glad it is done. I was told that he took it to his fire department to show it off and he just loves it.
