You all know I cant machine quilt worth a flip, (you have all heard me whine about it over & over) So I have been practicing and practicing and then practicing some more. Just now I tried Jackie's over the top feathers and I am pretty pleased with it. Some of my feathers are still a little wonky and some of my outline is jerky but I think I might get there yet. :D

Let me tell you, honey ... if you can't quilt, then I might as well just go find another worthwhile hobby!
That is a real professional looking job, you did very well.

it is true! practice makes perfect <g> Good job!

It has taken me a very LONG time of practicing to get here!!!!! Still a lot more to go but I think I might be ready to try it on a real quilt before too long!!!!! That scares me to pieces though, I am afraid to ruin a quilt.

Yeah, if it's any consolation, you're MILES ahead of me! Very pretty!

No matter what---keep it up!!!

I took a class and just did not gel with the teacher or her method of teaching. Walked away feeling it was a waste of my whole day, money for the class, gas and lunch. Very frustrating.

Looks great to me...what kind of machine are you using to do the quilting?

That was on my old Bernina 830( The old workhorse, not that new high dollar 830) I have been practicing on it because my other machine is set up for applique right now.
