I am sitting here asking myself am I mad or what???? 1 of 9 LOL. Needleturn - so hence why it's taken me so long, that's my excuse & I'm sticking to it LOL.

Here is the first block of 9 blocks that I signed up for as a BOM May of last year at one of our Quilt Shows. I know I am a bad, bad girl LOL.

I'm quite pleased with it even if it does look slightly wonky (adds to the folksy type theme?) I think I may have to undo it & straighten it up being as I am a bit of a perfectionist - tell me what you think. It also needs squaring up still. The vine on the bottom left may need to be moved over to the right slightly other wise it will be outside of the seamline.

I love it Tisha - the colours are beautiful. Tip - when i do appliqué i cut the background square a good half inch bigger all round then trim up afterwards, just in case the appliqué pulls the square in. Hope you don't mind me saying! :D

Tisha, I love your block! Congratulations on doing the needle turned applique - it looks beautiful. I finally broke down and printed out needle turn instruction from the internet to try to teach myself. I see so many gorgeous pieces using that appliqlue that I have to learn. How did you learn to do this? I know there are many books out on applique, but if anyone knows of a really, really good (and easy to understand) book that I can order, would you let me know?
