I love this pattern. Asian fabrics are my favorite. They are very hard to find in our area but I do have a nice collection, as it seems you do too. You are doing a great job. What is the name of this pattern and its designer? I would love to showcase some of my fabrics in this way. Yours will be gorgeous

Thank you. x
The pattern is called 'Memories from Japan' and its by Suzanne Lyle. Her email address is [email protected]. It just suited the larger print fabrics and that was something I was struggling with as all of the other patterns I liked were for smaller prints. The fabrics were bought in the US when my best friend lived over there so they had been languishing in her loft since returning to the UK some time ago now. Ive since bought a few other oriental fabrics to hopefully do a similar thing for the back so its reversible. Not sure how that will work out when I come to machine quilt the layers together unless I use invisible thread??! Will seek everyone's advice on here before I get to making up something for the back. Hoping that I can do her fabrics justice and give her a lovely quilt as she's had a really tough time with everything recently. Really appreciate your kind words and encouragement. Thank you again.

Anna Marie xx

Lovely... however if you are wanting Japanese fabrics in it, I think I should let you know your red fabric, and the black one like it, are Chinese, not Japanese. Maybe you could just call it, "Memories of the Orient".... It will be beautiful.
