Thank you all for the kind comments. A little more about me and the Dalhila. Altho I started quilring for the first time in November, I have done every craft there is including wood carving, woodworking and sculpture (with the excption of tatting). I have never started a a project at the biginner level, but with something that interested me. When I saw a Giant Dalhia at a quilt show I fell in love with it and decided even tho I had never quilted, I could do it. Deciding on make it my own, I lifted the petals and stuffed them, and didn't put a border around it. The Dalhia is 30" in diameter and is a wall hanging. and because the petels were stuffed and turned there was no need to finish the edges further. So for a first time project I am pretty satisfied with it.
Thanks again for all of your wonderful comments,
Nanc
