Good job. You're right to stop calling yourself a newbie quilter. Just enjoy the process. We all learn something on every quilt we make.

You are at a similar stage to me (just finished my 3rd quilt) but you are way ahead. Your quilt is great and the quilting is brilliant. Fabulous idea to go with the solids for a male.
He will love it.

I love the solid color quilt. What a great way to make a masculine quilt. It's really cool and your quilting is top notch. Keep on quilting.

Wonderful color placement. I especially enjoyed seeing your quilt as I'm leaning towards using more solids. Your quilting is great. I think you're way past being a "new" quilter.
