So my step-dad shows old cars and has one that is his favorite. I noticed at one of the car shows that one car was getting more attention that most of the others. I figured it out, there was a quilt laying inside across the seat. So as the husband/wife couples were looking at the cars, the ladies were checking out the quilt.

SOOOOO, I took my own stab at a car quilt. This meant trying to design something myself (scary) and applique (super scary). Not bad for my first try. Wish I had stuffed the car with a layer of batting (lesson learned). Also my first time with small scale stipple too.

Awesome - that is really neat! We had an Olds Cutlass 442 when I was a little girl. Very nice cars.

Hm, good question. I made it for him to display on his back seat (I bought some UV fabric protector in hopes it works). It's currently all wrapped up for xmas but let me see what my scetch says . . . 30" tall by 44" wide.

Angelmerritt said, "design something myself (scary)"

I say, "You can design for me anytime" :-)
