Thanks everyone!

The 'red' is actually more of a deep salmon, it works with those hunter greens really well....

I suppose it was an ok quilt before, I tend to like things more vibrant, and a little 'more' something...that was bland...not me. Not even me enough to finish and give someone else! LOL

UFO are unfinished objects
UFP are unfinished projects
some say it one way and others say the other way

Great idea - it is really "alive" now. Love it.

If I hadn't, I would have been keeping the quilt on the UFO list indefinitely, or ended up using it as a cat cover on my couch (but that would have taken a few more YEARS of shuffling along on the UFO....)

Since I had a spark of inspiration, I decided to plow right in!!

well, I finished the top!!!
I can cross off part one of the first of the (cough cough) pile of UFO's!

I used the old sashing to make the outside borders and found that I still had a bit of the fabrics in my stash to finish off where I was lacking. The only 'new' fabrics would be the pink sashing and the darker blue sashings around the interior parts...

Whew! :-P
