Ok, I had to change the square pineapple block. It's a good thing I just printed out and worked on one pattern lol. I thought the strips on the square had to be the same size as the strips on the diamonds. I realized the squares alone make the first fairy ring and the star in the middle didn't really matter.

So I went back into Block Base and found a tight pineapple block with the same amount of strips as on the pattern and printed out the blocks at 16.5. I used 11x17 paper and it took two sheets for one block and one sheet of letter size. I have finished taping six patterns together and will finish the other two tomorrow and hopefully sew at least one block of either a diamond or a square.

The pattern is lovely though it looks like it can be a challenge perhaps. I am so looking forward to seeing your quilt finished. Please post as you go along. Good luck and best wishes.

I took one of Sharon Rexroad's classes a few years ago, it was so interesting and we made our pineapple stars. Love them, have made several since then.

That is one heck of an intricate quilt. Beautiful. Your fabrics will be perfect. That would be my only 2013 quilt!!!

Can't wait to see your progress on this one. I know I could never attempt one as complicated as this so I'll be watching for your posts. It's a beautiful quilt.
