Default Floral Master OBW Top Finished - but How do I quilt this?

I don't usually post photos of unfinished projects. But I am asking for feedback on how to quilt this. I plan to FMQ on my Janome Horizon, and am afraid that the elaborate FMQ designs I usually use will be lost on this one. Any ideas out there?

Thanks,

Nicky

I did this same quilt -- same fabric, I quilted a medium stipple and it turned out great. Your quilt is beautiful -- show us how you finish it. Kathy

Oh so Beeeeeeaauuuuutiful NickyLSF!

I just looked and your blog and can see that you are an exceptional quilter and the only problem you have in quilting this is to decide which of you many talents you wish to use! I can see how the work you will do, will only enhance it, not overpower it.

Nicky, your quilt top is gorgeous! I enjoyed your blog very much also. From your quilting I am sure you will come up with the perfect overall design to further enhance this beauty!

There was a thread just in the last few days as to how to quilt OBW .... and some OBW quilting designs were posted.

Anyone remember this thread and able to post it for NickyLSF?

You are absolutely correct that any elaborate quilting designs will most definitely be lost on the fabric. A simple all over, utilitarian quilting will best suit this lovely top. However, some fancy quilting will stand out on your purple border that reads solid. A great place for some leaf or floral motifs to echo the fabric print.

I had mine quilted with a medium stipple also and the small border had leaves and curly-ques in it and a piano key quilting on the outside border...turned out great. I agree that any other design in the blocks just gets lost on these. So loved doing my quilt...how about you?
