A few months back you all saw my stash of florals in a box. I asked you all at that time "What do I do with them" you all so kindly gave me suggestions and this quilt was one of them... This is the "Lattice quilt" that was suggested to me from you here on the board. You may have seen this quilt already from the posting that RoseMaynes has done because she is the longarmer that I used. Thank you again for giving me the wonderful idea that has lead to the making of this quilt. One of my Granddaughters will love it. However.... I still have more florals left....Now what should I do??
Thank you for taking a look.

That is really pretty. Looks like lattice to me. Make a "lap" one to match for the couch or the car.

Pat, your quilt is awesome. I think it would be nice if you used the extra floral fabric and made a quilt for me!

Wow! That is so pretty! Where did you find the pattern? I'd really like to know how to make one like this!

You did a great job with this. Try as I might, I can't figure out how the blocks go together. When that happens, I tend to avoid the pattern, but your quilt is so pretty with the flower fabric as the trellis, I may have to just break down and purchase a pattern!

Love it! What is the name of this pattern? I think I might add it to my ever-growing to do list :P

    *drool*
(Not to worry, I'll be careful, not to drool on this beauty!)

I liked it before ... now even more so, with the bigger picture.
    STUNNING!!!!!

Curious? how many different florals did you use? And did you go totally random on the strips placement? or any planning?

    I'm in total awe!!!!!!!

Your florals are so pretty that I can hardly wait to see them in another quilt. I wonder if you could make some version of a watercolor quilt but instead of the very small 1" or 2" squares that are used to give the Monet type pastel washed watercolor palette, why not try to blend your florals using larger pieces? I'm envisioning essentially painting a landscape with perhaps random shapes selected entirely for their pattern content to create the landscape/picture you have in mind. Perhaps these appliqued onto a whole cloth (or almost, maybe a QAYG) flowers growing over a fence, spreading over rocks. growing across a path, then across the bottom of a bird bath, lots of dark shadows since the black in your trellis make the quilt pop so very much. Nothing real hard - really cut and paste then applique - just to feature your beautiful fabric. Pieces would be random like a crazy quilt except there would be no blocks,no sashing, etc. My idea is clear in my mind, hope it isn't too muddled on the screen. Just something to think about.

It is a beautiful quilt! Why not a floral log cabin ala the ones that barnbum has done- I think hers are beyond gorgeous!
