Default Flower baskets bring home some more blue!

My flower basket quilt attended it's second show this weekend in Tyler, TX. I have been blown away with how well accepted this quilt has been by two different judges now. Last summer during the quilting I became so frustrated I was to the point of tossing the quilt aside and withdrawing it from it's first show this past fall. I'm big on keeping my word though and felt that since the show was counting on a certain number of quilts it would be wrong of me to withdraw mine just because it didn't turn out like I wanted. So I entered it with a heavy heart and ended up bringing home first place in my category AND the best machine quilting-home stationary award! I brought home those same two ribbons this weekend too!

Upon learning who I was, one of the ladies at the show that was an assistant to the judge (an NQA judge) was excited to tell me what the judge had said about my quilt when viewing it. I was beyond flattered by the comments the judge had made, some of which were echoed on my critique sheet. I really am just beside myself right now.

This past Saturday;

Has been shared before but a little less washed out;

It is beautiful and very deserving of the awards it has received so far. It is a lovely picture of you and your quilt together.

It is just beautiful, I'm envious. We can be our own worst critics, can't we?

An amazing quilt! You did a fabulous job piecing and quilting and it's very deserving of the ribbons. Congratulations!
