Default Flower block rotation opinions needed

Hello~ Which way should I rotate the corner flower blocks? The pattern does show them going all the same way (all 4 stems facing down) but since it is a square quilt, would it matter if 2 were down and 2 were up (all stems toward the middle) so it would look the same from any angle? What's your gut instinct when you look at the two? Thanks!

If it's going to be a lap quilt, I like the first picture. If it was a full quilt or wallhanging, I would want the second picture. Opps I forgot to say, it's beautiful either way!

I like the second one also. What do you think about putting them on an angle so that the stem is near the corner coming out from your center block

Just to be different ) why not make each one face a different direction, then it would look the same from any side.

Thanks for your replies! I ended up going with the stems all to the middle. The flowers were already appliqued on so I couldn't turn them. It's always interesting to get a different perspective and will hopefully make me think out of the box a little more next time. Again, I learn something new everytime I pop onto this site! I think my friend will like it and am anxious to quilt it. Gotta rest the shoulders and back first and take a break
