It's a traditional block. A couple of years ago I started collecting graph drawings of traditional blocks for an (eventual) sampler, & this is one of my favorites. Didn't actually think I'd be able to do it in a 6" block, but it worked :)
How did you do it? Reduce all the template measurements in half? Am just curious? Really like your block, great job! I love this 6in size of blocks too!...

I've been taking traditional blocks & plotting them out on 4X4 graph paper. Simple enough with the 4 & 9 patch variations. When I hit the 5 patch, I'll have to switch to 10X10 graph paper to keep the measurements correct, & the 7 patches I'll have to free-hand.
As for this particular block, those diamonds are paper pieced on graph paper.

I have always admired them, but with the set in seams I am not sure I would make more than one block.
