Default FMQ for Christmas

Good morning all! I've been working on a series of 5 "O'Tannenbaum" wall hangings for Christmas, and have the first one ready to share with you.

This is my own original pattern, paper pieced, and FMQ'd on my DSM (Juki TL98Q), using all metallic threads from Superior Threads. The wall hanging measures 16" x 25". I still need to put a silver finish on a dowel and prepare a cord for hanging and then this one will be done!

Enjoy!

The pictures don't show the metallic thread very well and the colors seem to be just a bit off, but you get the idea...

The quilting is absolutely fabulous!!! I just love your tree design but the creativity of the quilting takes it over the top. Very inspiring projects!

Wow... that is absolutely amazing! One question...for a quilt...how do you do that much close FMQ and still keep the quilt soft and cuddly? I have done meandering and the quilt was so stiff...you couldn't even wrap up in it nicely. I have tried a thicker but softer batting but still..the FMQ makes the quilt so stiff.not quite a bad but still, not soft and cuddly. Any suggestions?\ on how to make that happen or what to do/not to do to achieve it? Appreciate any tips!

How absolutely Gorgeous!!! In a hundred years I couldn't FMQ like you do. I shall hold my breath until you post more.
