You did a good job! I'm currently undertaking my first queen fmq'ing job myself. So I'm with you on boy I'll probably never do this again either!

Love your quilt and the backing fabric. I made a blue & brown for my DD and husband using almost the same backing. I think it's so pretty. I FMQ on my machine also and with the bigger quilts I'v been doing them in three parts and then sewing the three sections together. It's a pain but so much easier quilting.

And that story is why I'm on a quilting strike! Fortunately, I'll be able to buy a long arm at the end of the year. So for now, I'm putting tops with their backs and prepped binding strips on hangers in my closet. I still get to piece and I'll have plenty to practice on when I get my machine.
I HATE wrestling with a quilt!

Looks great! Maybe next time do it sort of Quilt As You Go, so not all is under the machine at a time. It will be less heavy.

When I quilted a king sized quilt on my machine, I did it in 2 pieces and then joined them. I could never have got the bulk of that quilt through the machine otherwise. If I do it again, I might do 1/4 th at a time and then join.
