Question FMQ Ideas Needed

This is a quilt top that I started just a few years ago. I just finished appliqueing the butterflies on them and now am wondering how I should quilt this. it is just a wall hanging so not to big. Any ideas would be wonderful. Thanks.

It looks fabulous. What a great job you did making the butterflies look like they are in flight. Sorry, no quilting advice, but I love the quilt.

The quilt is stunning! I especially like the thread you used for the appliqué. Thanks for sharing. I have no ideas for quilting other than maybe butterflies.

Oh...that is beautiful. That's a convergence quilt, isn't it? I just bought the book but not sure when I'll get to do one...lol. Sorry, no suggestions on the quilting though...but whatever you decide, I'm sure it's going to look just lovely

Yes it is a Convergence quilt. This is my second one that I have worked on. Lots of fun to do. My first was just a basic one. This one I wanted to do something a little different and the fabric that I started with basically told me what to do.

I'm no expert but I think I would outline the butterflies and stitch the ditch on the squares, then stitch with black in the border some butterfly motifs. Assuming your batting doesn't require closer. I would really keep most of it simple to let the butterflies really stand out.
