Even your homework is wonderful. Yes I took that class too. My friend could see a difference in the direction of my quilting. Mainly it taught me about breaking things down into small section when thinking about a project.

Deb, You know that your experience from that class is what pushed me to actually sign up! I am absolutely LOVING it and can't wait to try out a bunch more stuff. Like for you, it is teaching me how to break things down and fit them all back together again. Until now, I hadn't really identified the "shadow" component of the designs that she talks about, but it's all beginning to make so much sense now! Shadows have been totally missing from my quilting, but no longer. I can't wait to do some more "homework", and then a real project using Cindy Needham's design techniques!

So Deb, what are you going to come up with next???

...I have to go buy some MORE thread now ('cause the 100's of spools I have are almost all 40 wt.)...

Very nice! I'm really torn between that class, the quilting with templates or the quilting negative spaces one. I'm sure I'll eventually do all of them but now I'm leaning towards this one instead of the templates - those were my first two choices... Your piece looks wonderful

If it helps you decide, Cindy Needham covers quite a few really cool background designs in this class. BTW, I'm interested in the Negative Spaces class too, but now I've got a BUNCH of new stuff to work on for awhile.
