Default FMQ Wholecoth Placemat Project from Craftsy Class

Here's another project from Cindy Needham's "Design It; Quilt It" Craftsy class. This is a wholecloth placemat; the first of 4 that I am working on. Each one will be a different design, so stay tuned for each of the others as I finish them. (Did I mention that I'm LOVING this class!!!)

I did the quilting using my DSM, a Juki TL98Q. I drew my design out on freezer paper before I started, and did quite a bit of marking with water soluble pencils on this piece before I started stitching using Superior Threads "Magnifico" 40 wt. poly thread. This is my first experiment using both the parallel lines and the cathedral window motifs.

Wow! I can't begin to even daydream about doing a project so intricate. Please remember to share the next ones with us.
