I just finished the top tonight. I am thinking about whether to make a pieced back with the leftovers. I might even do a second quilt on the back. School house blocks made from these same fabrics. I don't know yet.

This is a VERY easy quilt to make, and a good use of fat quarters. I found the pattern and directions in the Fall 2008 issue of Easy Quilts. It is 81 x 81.

I love your patchwork quilt and the border fabric is yummy. Glad to hear you are keeping this one for yourself--you deserve it. :-)

The cardinal fabric is from a stripe. I cut out the olive green paisley that was in it and just used the dark green with the birds. I saved the paisley and can use it in some other project.

Anyway, the fabric is from a Moda line called Tamarack Grove. I think it was a 2006 line. Another great find at A and E Fabrics here in Pensacola!

If you are looking for Shangri La, or anything else that came out a while back and is not in your quilt shop anymore it will probably be at their store!

I wanted to show off the quilting that Jackie (jaquemoe) did on this. It is really beautiful! I am putting the binding on it so I can give to the grandparents with matching pillowcases.

I picked a design that is pinecones and pine boughs. She does such great work!

I resized these, but they still don't show!

Thanks beautiful, and the quilting just sets it off perfectly, your pictures didn't show as they are bitmap format, they need to be 'jpeg'!! :D
