lovely...hope you can save it! Tell poochy that he's not the only one. I brought in a pile of old jeans yesterday, put them on the floor next to washer and Tinkerbelle was laying on them while I was switching loads.

If I let him keep everything he claimed by laying on it there would be no room to walk on the floor. Most times though he is sleeping in his bed. You know the big full size one that he lets me use a small part of at night. :-)
I have decided I just can't tear this this apart. It's been washed so it will get folded and put in my cupboard wit the others.

Default old quilt

Good morning Dama,
In the mid seventies one of my friends grand mother who was in her mid eighties made me some quilts. She stuffed them with the cotton out of a matress. Yes, they stuffed them in place of using batting. It was my experience that they fell apart fairly easy.
I ended up making teddy bears out of the ones she my for my two DD. Believe me, I broke many needles sewing through that cotton.
I ended up using the larger quilts (regular size bed) for mattress pads. I wonder where they are now?

Great find! I certainly not dismantle it. I would say lots of work and love went into that quilt.

Great find. I hope you can save it ... even though it seems to have a pup magnet inside!

I was going to say, maybe you can save the best parts and make a smaller quilt to display, framed or just folded on the back of a chair. I wonder how well it will wash- will it fall apart even more. Maybe you could use part of it for your quilt inspector. Our pets seem to think a big wind is going to blow everything away if they don't sit on them!
