Default four lap quilts made from old dresses

My friend ask me to make four lap quilts for her and her children, out of some house dresses that her mom use to wear. They did end up a little on the big side as the picture was taken on the top of a king size bed.
Her mom has been gone for over 10 years and she asked me then but never got around bring over the dresses for me to see and do something with.

I wanted to come up with four different patterns and this took me a little time trying to figure which ones to make. but came up with these. She has one boy or I should say man as he is in his 40s and she has two grown daughters that she wanted to give quilts to also. She is keeping one for herself too. I made them, she can figure out which ones to give to her kids. I did think after looking at them that the log cabin one looks more like a mans quilt but she can decide.. The quilt block with the dresses was made with a paper pieced pattern from Charise Creates if your interested you can look it up in search I'm not sure what the address was.

Anyway Thanks for taking the time to look at my quilts. I hope you like them..

They're all nice, great job(s)! I agree that the log cabin seems more masculine. And I also agree with Tartan, the dresses one is my favorite too.

great job! I have 3 memory quilts for a customer on the cutting table--her Dad's plain cowboy shirts and khaki work pants--real challenge is going to be pulling enough fabric from the pants and shirts to make 3 quilts--Your's are great and I love the variety of styles--I'm thinking that the log cabin or the tumbler blocks are the one the son gets!
