Default Retirement quilt for my boss

My boss is retiring next month after being on the job for 34 years, so I made him this memory quilt. We've workded together for 31 of those years. We've watched our families grow up and now have grandchildren. His favorite color is blue. I hand embroidered the center bus back in 1989 for our first boss. When he passed away his daughter gave me back the bus. It's been in a picture frame until now hanging in my office at work. I fused fabric on the back of it because I was afraid since it was so old it might wear faster than the new fabric. The quilt is 75" square

Nice job. I have a special place in my heart for busses and kids. I retired from driving for 29 years a year and a half ago.

That is awsome! I am a school bus driver as well, and would love to get a quilt like this. This is by far the most rewarding job that I have ever had.

You have a big heart and will certainly touch the life of your boss. What a lovely quilt and one to be cherished with all the photos, bus and hard work. Great job!
