I loved that expo! So much to look at! I bought several ruler/templates from Deb Tucker. I have been enjoying those a bunch.

My grandmother is doing okay, at best. Her memory is definitely going. She's not the same gramma anymore for sure. It broke my heart because she didn't recognize me when I first came in the house. Used to be she'd light up and smile so big when she saw me. I'd get a big warm hug and you knew how happy she really was to see you. She used to want to know what all was going on and how you'd been. This time she didn't ask any questions or really join in the conversations at all. It was sad. I feel for my mom and aunts in the coming years as they will have to deal with the issues of moving her into some kind of assisted living. I'm not sure how long it will be until she will not be able to live on her own like she is now.

What a great delivery. I would have been bonkers having to look at the boxes all day and not being able to play. Have fun with your new toy.

That is so awesome. What a lucky girl you are. I don't think I could have waited all day. I would have been trying to put it together myself. LOL

What an exquisite cabinet!! How can you wait until nap time? I'd have to try it out a little at night! What a great DH you have!

beautiful cabinet. i would like to invest in a better sewing surface. right now i am sewing on a table and cant adjust my chair to the right height. what brand is your lovely cabinet? is the white item in the center of the photo a support to stabilize the machine? do the lower 5 drawers roll out as one unit?

Hi Peabee,

This cabinet is by Horn of America. The white thing is the runner that the machine platform is attached to. You set your "stops" on it so you can raise and lower the machine by just pushing on the platform. You can push the machine all the way down and cover the opening with a matching piece of table and then you have your machine stored away and a plain table for cutting or doing whatever on.

The lower 5 drawers are one separate unit. This table and drawer unit come totally assembled, you just have to put the drawer knobs on and the wheels on the bottom.
