    Good Grief! How would you be able to see all the sights? I'd be too busy walking with my head down admiring the floors! The first picture reminds me of the Tennesee waltz pattern.

    It's a beautiful city, and right on Lake Nicaragua. I wish we could have stayed longer but we went to Corn Island for a few days and then a few days in San Juan Del Sur. Next time we will do the volcanic lowlands and Leon and maybe a mahogany forest up in the north (for business part of trip)

    I didn't see any quilting, but I know that the Guatemalan needlework is beautiful, with appliques, and the local wovens and crochetwork and embroidery I saw was beautiful. I did get to a fabric store, but it seemed a jumble of American-style polyesters and knits and really pretty sheers with embroidered edges, probably drapery fabric. Also some very unusual prints but got dragged out by husband before I could see it all! Have to go back! :)
