I whined on the board a few days ago about doing the fmq on this quilt. I have a sewing machine with only a 5 1/2" throat space and the quilt is almost a queen size...wore me out! Several board members gave me the encouragement that I needed to keep going. The picture is a bit dark. DH (who is 6'4") is holding it up for me and I tried to get a close up of the quilting. I do like it better than I thought I would. I guess I will chalk it up to being lots of practice for fmq. I gave it to my parents and they loved it. Just like you all told me that they would...they didn't even notice the fmq mistakes. Thanks for the encouragement.

Lucky parents! My own mother's favorite colors. You did a very fine job.

Wow, bravo! Fmq-ing in a tiny space. Well done. Sure they love it.

Looks great to me. I am still intimidated about FMQ. What a great gift!

If you gave it to me, I'd say, "Thank you very much. It's gorgeous."

You did great, once you are hooked there's no turning back. You'll be amazed that it gets easier every time. I'm trying to challenge myself to not do the same pattern twice. Practice new designs on paper it helps. Keep up the good work. Remember you did it from beginning to the end!!
