Default For my grand daughter

My granddaughter saw a picture of a pinwheel quilt I had put together to use on the porch swing. Nothing fancy, and tied. She loved it and wanted it, but I told her that it was made for that spot so of course could not go anywhere else (quilts are like that you know) So I asked her favorite color. blue...out came all the blues I could find and I just started making pinwheels. Had it all done to the dk blue, but knew it wanted more. (i could hear it telling me that) Nothing in my regular stash fit. Finally pulled out my bin of large prints and lo and behold. there sat this blue print. Laid it next to the quilt and it said. Yes yes yes.......Here is the end result. She has seen a picture of this much and is in love with it. Will bind it in dk blue and I believe Ihave a blue and white sheet for the back. then will tie it in dk blue. I love making simple, old fashioned kind of quilts. I leave the intricate stuff to the experts.......hope this pic comes through.

Such a fun cozy quilt. I also love your description of the whys and hows. You are my kind of story teller.

I like those two blocks that aren't the blue. I think it makes the quilt. Fabulous touch
