Reminds me in a way of Gees Bend quilts. Anything goes, and it makes you smile, what more do you need.

Oh no! Those give me a head ache. I much preferred the Kaffee Fasset comparison, even if not warranted!

I love it!!! Like the song says, "I Did It My Way"~~~ true creativity, and nobody's business but your own. I love it when people quilt for fun, and enjoyment of just being creative without worrying about rules and "judging". Not that there is anything wrong with being competitive, but you sound like my kind of person. Bless you, and may you always have such a wonderful attitude toward life.

I love your attitude about your project! Enjoy your future projects with as much 'vigor' as you have enjoyed with this quilt! Cheers!

Bless you my friend for you have saved us all from ridicule. You Made it fun. I too, have the books of samples, have cut away the paper and just started sewing. What a freeing experience. I didn't pin, I didn't measure, but I had a blast and made some kooky placemats and a runner. Love putting them on the table. "Who cares if hespills" Toss in the wash. and if they fall apart, so what- the project only cost me time and a great memory was made.Pegeth
