I had a grace frame, but it had a table and this must be for hand quilting. That is the bad thing, they take up so much room.

Pam, I hope you will enjoy many years of pleasure on your Grace Frame, where ever you decide to place it.

They have changed the design somewhat in the years since I bought mine.
I do not see your 4th rail, is it covered by one of the front rails in the px?

As said on an earlier post to some one else, mine has wooden rails (also cogs) that are still straight & true, even after all this time. There have been a lot of quilts quilted on this frame.

I am posting a couple of px to show the difference in the frames from "then" & "now".

Sure you could use a spare room for your sewing room. One question though... do you cook?

Yes, it has a 4th rail that is hidden by the cross supports. Your frame looks brand new! I hope mine looks as nice many years from now.

I'll have a quilt on it ASAP. I need batting and backing which I can probably get during lunch today. I ordered 108" backing fabric for 3 quilts but not for the one I want to get done first for my brother. I need thread, perle cotton, embroidery floss... and whatever else looks like I need to get it at the store.

Pam, You're going to have a lot of fun now!

Just wanted to mention, I purchased a nice wood t.v. tray from K-mart to hold my pins and thimbles and stuff. They had a good sale! After using that for a while I decided to try a small plastic tray and I just rest it on the quilt itself.

Were you as surprised as I was when you saw how huge that baby is? I'm finally set up in the back of the family room. My husband was hoping I could move the frame to the sewing room but there's not enough room back there.

Enjoy!

DH is sitting by me and he says I cook very well! But I don't think he'd want to let me come over to your place every day to sew!
