what the name of this block is? Is it just a kaleidescope with borders on outside of the block or does it have a name. the block really caught my eye, it was on a sampler quilt my sisters Grandmother-in-law made. She just died last year at 101 and quilted until she was almost 100. She hand quilted everything she made

I looked in "The Quilter's Album of Patchwork Patterns" by Jinny Beyer. She has is listed as a Wheel Of Fortune, first published in the Quilt Book, Collection 1, ca. 1965. It is pieced using a 7x7 base grid.

update....I just went over to the quilter's cache and it is given as a pattern there....

Thanks everyone, I am definately going to try and find a pattern and make one.(when I get time lol). I was afraid I would have to print it out and make my own pattern which wouldn't be so bad I guess.
