Hello dear ladies!
Help me choose a fabric for the job. I want to join you. I can not help not to start cutting fabric. I have 2 books OBW (Cubed and encore), but due to problems with language, I do not understand it all. I look at your wonderful work and admire your work. Maybe I need more tissue to look in their trunks.

9` repeats

6` repeats(The distance between the same flowers)

If we take the work of these two fabrics, the right would it be?

24` repeats

Hi Olga, I hope I can help, I wish I spoke Russian. :D

The first two fabrics, the flowers are too small so no good. The third one has too much plain background. The ones with straight lines would be difficult too, especially for your first one as the lines will look odd if they don't meet. The best option is your picture number 7 - the brown background with the bright blue and orange paisley floral print. I'm wondering though if you have enough? I can see the repeat along the edge and it looks like you haven't. You would need six x the pattern repeat and it should all come from the same bolt as sometimes patterns and colours vary from bolt to bolt. Hope this is helpful, otherwise PM me. :-D

Look at pages 11-14 of the first book. The best fabrics have a large print, swirling pattern and a small range of colours, I like 3 or 4 main colours and no plain background.

Dear К3n!
I FOUND ANOTHER CLOTH AND I HOPE THAT SHE ,TOO ,YOU'LL LIKE IT. MY SEVERAL SAMPLES HAVE BEEN BEAUTIFUL,BUT TOGETHER THEY DO NOT LOOK. THINK YOU THIS IS ALSO NOTICED. I TRIED TO DARK HEXAGONS POSITION ON THE ONE END,BUT IT ,PROBABLY,NOT SO MUCH TO OBTAIN AN OVERALL PICTURE. MAYBE I NEED TO HAVE TO CUT THE CLOTH AND WHETHER AS SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO LAY THEM ON THE TABLE. I AM GRATEFUL TO YOU FOR YOUR ADVICE. In RELATION TO the PROBLEM of the LANGUAGE, I don'T UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING SOMETIMES. Thank YOU FOR your PATIENCE, WHICH YOU will NEED TO WORK WITH ME.

It looks like you got it just right, Miss Olga! But, I do not know as much as K3n ... it looks to me like you have a good variety of hexagons. <wave>

Looking good Olga!!!

I will be finishing up my Foral Master Octo OBW in the next 2 weeks. Will have pics up when she's done. Will also be quilting the purple octogon for my niece. Making a trip to Indiana mid June so these will be finished and delivered :). Very excited to finish them!

I still haven't bordered and quilted my FIRST OBW yet.....*sigh* maybe end of June....lol
