My son's mothr-in-law lost her husband last year and after several months, asked me if a quilt could be made from his shirts. When I told her yes, she gave me about 15 shirts...she likes rustic/western type things & I found a pattern on the internet called Rustic Stars made from mens shirting, and so it started...

However, after finishing the first queen size quilt, I still had several good size pieces of fabric from the shirts, so I was able to make her a second quilt...she has not seen either of them, so I am going to wait until I get them back from the LAQ, hope she will be happy with them.
