Default Halloween a little early

We lost my nephew a few years ago in a horrible car accident. Little Jake loved Halloween and his family did a haunted woods every year. Since Jake has been gone the family started a scholarship program in his memory. The community has been great. My sis and I were talking how many people could want to support the scholarship but would in no way want to run through the woods being chased by zombies and monsters (me for one )

So this year I am making table runners, toppers, mug rugs (whatever all different sizes) to raffle off. Then people can support the cause for a few $$ without the scare. I have 16 tops done, but I just finished these 2. They are not perfect, but I am happy with them. Everyone I do I get a little better. I have some really cute fabric - its not all skulls

Thanks for looking!

What a great idea. Good luck. I wouldn't want to run thru the woods either being chase by zombies. I would have nightmares for months!

I am so sorry for the loss of this precious child. This is a clever idea. I for one would love to donate a topper to you to honor this child if you will PM me with your address. GOD Bless

I agree that I would definitely not want to wander through the woods to get scared, I won't even watch scary movies. So sorry for the loss of your nephew, but you are honoring his memory with the scholarship program and the quilted items you make should help, both for the scholarship program and a way to work through your grief.
