this is the quilt i started for my son, ethan, when he was 7. now he's 40.
i'm lucky he's a patient man who loves his mother! it started out as twin, then double and finally queen. it had a row top and bottom of blacks, but that made it way too long. it was all over the floor. now it's fine. it's 98-1/2 x 97-1/2. what happened to that extra inch?

any opinions? LOL!

I love it! It was worth the wait.

I think many of us have some very time consuming projects. I have a candlewicking wall haning that took 10 YEARS!! It's 18" x 18". I started it for an old boyfriends mother for a Christmas gift. By the time I finished it, I had broken up with the boyfriend and had been married for 5 years! LOL

I love your quilt and I am sure your son does too. I think you win the prize for the longest time to make a quilt! It was worth every minute!

I love your quilt, especially the colors! You can see lots of love in it! .....and I thought I had a very old UFO (20yrs). I started mine - a queen size bed quilt - when my younger son was 4 yrs old. It was supposed to be a 5th yr. anniversary present to my husband. You have inspired me!!! I will dig it out over the weekend and put a few more stitiches in it!
